Versace x 2 Chainz

February 2, 2018

Do we love a good collaboration, or what?

There is no better recipe for making lines in front of the stores and make us spend even more money

than when we see a superstar and edgy fashion house teaming up on a yet another fashion adventure.

Versace for sure knows how to do that.

Despite media frenzy regarding The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story,

Donatella decided to stay focused and gave Balenciaga team run for their money with

chunky sneakers in recognizable and unapologetic Versace style.

This time it is a work of art between Versace signature mixing patterns technique and flashy style of 2 Chainz.

That something is cooking good in this Italian fashion house we realized

as soon as 2 Chainz showed up at Versace’s fall ’18 men’s runway show.

The outcome of this collaboration brings retro touch with

a mixture of patterns that on first glance doesn't go together.

Mash, fur, lace, flowers, rubber and colorful shoelaces give us fashion vertigo,

but as we know, no one does it better than Donatella and her team,

at the same time honoring the legacy of her brother Gianni.

Making its official unveiling in Milan, the sneaker was designed under former YEEZY

employee Salehe Bembury, who was recently appointed Versace’s new

Head of Sneaker Design.

Based on the trends and younger audience we can expect more from

this fashion house that is still relevant when it comes telling

their own story in a unique way by utilizing current trends.
